Move in crews from CSF are tearing it up at Towers and Lincoln! WVU President Clements shook our hands and said "I love what you guys are doing." And he said Julie looked like Santa Claus. Thanks to Patrick, Krissy, Lauren, Julie, I guess to myself?, and Kim for helping us out and Nick showing up for breakfast with us before going to work. Congratulations to the folks that have taken off work just to be here - Stacy, Renee, Brandon, and Dustin!!! That's crazy......(*and i LOVE it!).

This trip was really special to me as it was my first mission trip. Before my friend, Ed, invited me to CSF almost three years ago, I never had a church home. Now firmly connected with God and with an amazing group of fellow believers, I was very excited to have an opportunity to serve and to love others as Christ has taught us. The reality of New Orleans overcame any and all expectations of what Christian service is all about. While in this city, I was able to step outside my own comfort zone and interract with people who have and continue to deal with incredible adversity. Despite the adversity that they endure, God loves them and He sends His people to lighten their affliction and to represent Him. I cannot fully articulate how thankful I am that Christ's grace allows me to be part of that. Yes, I was one of the few that was stricken with poison but this was a small price to pay for the amazing, life-affirming experiences this trip afforded me.
