Who's That?

Campus Minister: Gary Gross

Gary and Krissy Gross came to CSF in 2006. Gary graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with an Aerospace Engineering degree and Krissy graduated from Kentucky Christian University with an Elementary Education degree. Gary's prior experience includes working at NASA for Lockheed Martin Space Operations and a number of other engineering companies. Krissy worked in the ESOL, English as a Second Language, department for Maryland public schools. Prior to that Krissy started a campus ministry in Santiago Chile and they both worked at the Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship.

About CSF

CSF exists to encourage students to love God and love others.

Jesus put it this way in Matthew 22:34:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself."

Why We're Here

CSF exists in one of the most unique environments in WV:

  • The combined population of WVU and Morgantown exceeds every city in WV.
  • The WVU student population alone is large that all but three cities in WV.
  • Most college students live within walking distance of each other.
  • Every single year thousands of new folks descend into Morgantown
  • Morgantown is one of the fastest growing areas of the state.

Every August thousands of new people, freshmen and graduate students, will begin to live in Morgantown. They leave their homes, their churches, their friends, their family, and in some cases almost their entire support system they have had for almost two decades. It is in that dynamic and powerful transition that we exist to point people to Jesus.

What We Do

Sunday Night Service

Every Sunday night we have service at 7 upstairs in our chapel. Start off with worship, communion, and then a message prepared by Gary, the campus minister, or sometimes a guest speaker. If you get there half an hour earlier, we serve you dinner downstairs in our main area, for free! And trust me, it’s delicious.

Life Groups

We never stop growing as humans, and there’s no place better to do that than in one of our life groups. This is not a bible study, it is a weekly opportunity for the girls and guys to get together, talk about issues in the world, and discuss God’s word as a life application.

Fall & Spring Retreats

Get out of town for a weekend, focus on what’s important, and get rejuvinated as you hang out with other CSFers…it’s all about bonding: closer to God—closer to each other.

Spring Break Mission Trip

This trip is unforgettable. We go down to New Orleans for a week, help clean the place up, reach out to people in neighborhoods, play with kids, and worship God. Your heart will be broken and healed by the spirited culture in New Orleans and the hope of a better future.

Activites

There are many activities on a weekly basis here at CSF that change from week to week. Sometimes we have a Friday Night Movie night, where we just hang out and watch a good flick on the screen upstairs. We also have game nights, go to the driving range, hike, and have service projects. There’s almost always something going on here at CSF.
